KIU is a leading provider of education in the country where the BSc. Honours in Biomedical Science degree has become one of the degrees with a high demand. We are proud to announce that a total of 43 students belonging to 
the batch 1, batch 2 and the lateral entrants’ batch 01 of the Diploma Holders in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), graduated with the BSc Hons in Biomedical Science degree on the 4th of April 2021 at the graduation ceremony held at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall presided over by the Honorary Vice Chancellor Snr. Prof. Neluka Fernando and the President of KIU Dr. Jagath Seneviratne.
Hon. Minister Bandula Gunawardena was the chief guest for the occasion where many other distinguished guests graced the occasion including the state minister Susil Premajayantha. It was indeed a glamourous occasion where Ms. Hasangi Gamage (Batch 01), Ms. Praba Jalini (Batch 02) and Mr. Amila Achintha (DMLT- Batch 01) received the gold medals for b
eing the best performer in each batch.
