The First Cochrane Hong Kong Symposium 2019 “Pave the way for and achieving excellence in evidence-informed health care in the Belt and Road regions”
Ms. Nilushi Nisansala, Head of the Department of Nursing, KIU attended as a guest speaker for The First Cochrane Hong Kong Symposium 2019 which was held at Yasumoto International Academic Park, The Chinese University of Hong Kong on 23rd & 24th May 2019. This symposium aimed to provide an international multidisciplinary platform for discussion and debate among health care providers, policy makers, academics and researchers on contemporary strategies and issues in evidence informed health care and policy formulation.
IPCRG 6th Scientific Meeting 2019
Two academics of KIU, Mr Akila Jayamaha and Ms. Chamilya Perera participated and presented their research at IPCRG 6th Scientific Meeting 2019, Bucharest, Romania. It was held at the Novotel Bucharest City Centre in Romania on the 24-25 May 2019. It was hosted by the International Primary Care Respiratory Group, (IPCRG) in association with the Romanian Primary Care Respiratory Group.

International conference on “Public Health” 2018 – Healthconfo2018 Theme: “Malnutrition Free World: Challenges and Options “Held on 22nd and 23rd March 2018 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Best oral presenter medal under the technical session of “Maternal and child health” was awarded to Ms. K.T.G. Kanchana, Department of Nursing, KIU. The conference was organized by International Academic Researchers with the Adventist University of the Philippines as the academic partner. Among the participants were the academics from UK, India, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, USA, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Estonia, UAE.
