Master of Nursing Management (SLQF 9)

WHY SELECT KIU FOR PERCEIVING MASTER OF NURSING MANAGEMENT?

KIU is the first and only private university in Sri Lanka which offers Masters programmes in Nursing in Sri Lanka with the accreditation of Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and recognition of the University Grant Commission (UGC). In the global context, nursing administration, nursing management, advanced practice in nursing and academic positions in nursing education require nurses with post-graduate qualifications. In this regard, KIU has recognized the vacuum in this sphere of nursing and the increasing demand for such a programme which aggravates year by year with continual passing out of nursing graduates from various universities of Sri Lanka.

The masters degree programme has been designed to prepare graduate nurses with advanced knowledge and skills required to advanced clinical practice, leadership and management in professional nursing, and development of empirical knowledge in nursing for the advancement of the profession and evidence-based practice in nursing.
