Awards of the BEST ACADEMIC PERFORMER 2023

Introduction

KIU is a non-state sector higher education institute established in Sri Lanka to fulfill the higher education demand of prospective local and international students whilst expanding higher education opportunities. The opportunity to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at KIU was brought about by the untiring effort of Dr. Jagath Senevirathne, the president/ CEO and Managing Director of KIU and the Honorary Vice-chancellor of KIU, Senior Professor Neluka Fernando.

In view of promoting and strengthening academic excellence among the graduates of KIU, the Board of Management of KIU has initiated an award scheme for the graduates with the highest academic performance at KIU.

Objectives

The objective of the BEST ACADEMIC PERFORMER 2023 is to give recognition and reward to the graduates with the highest academic performance in each department at KIU.

Eligibility

Eligible students will be selected based on the highest GPA and the merit list of each department, using the below criteria,

1. A GPA above 3.7
2. First in order of the merit list of each batch in each degree program

The certificates and plaques will be awarded at the 6th Convocation Ceremony of KIU on the 27th of August 2023.
